Intro to GSHP course Fri 12th October – Sun 14th

Of the new low carbon technologies, heat pumps are possibly the most perplexing. This course will introduce participants to the complexities of heat pump systems, covering how the heat pump works, how the heat is captured from the ground (or water) and how the heat is then best distributed about the building. It will also cover energy needs for different types of buildings such that participants can make an informed decision as to whether a heat pump installation is (or is not) appropriate . This course is aimed at architects, individuals and potential installers, but it will not qualify participants to install their own heat pump system.
