2. Opening Times and Admission Discounts
CAT is open every day of the the year (except Christmas and two weeks in January). Discounts are available for students, children and claimants. Cyclists get a 50% discount, 10% for bus users, 15% for groups of 15 or more. Joint rail tickets include admission to CAT at up to 50% discount - available from Central Trains. 3. How to get here
CAT is located three miles north of Machynlleth on the A487. Regular bus service connects from Machynlleth railway station and other major towns. Travel information from 01970 617951 (bus) & 0345 484950 (rail).
4. Eco - tourism
Mid Wales' Dyfi Valley has a reputation as the UK's number one destination for ecological family breaks. From the stunning beaches and dunes at Ynyslas and Aberdyfi where dolphins can be seen, to the RSPB nature reserve at Ynys-Hir in the Dyfi Estuary, the green experience continues.
