Ever wondered how building blocks stick together?

This interactive show introduces the science of clay as a binder and the marvels of capillary action.

Feel your way into some natural building materials. See if you can retrieve Excalibur the sword! Can you crush our sand castle?

Join lecturers from CAT’s Graduate School of the Environment and guest speaker Rowland Keeble of Earth Building UK and Ireland to explore the joys and challenges of building with earth.

This is a free event, which takes place during our ‘Sustainable Materials’ residential module week. You’ll be joining CAT students who are studying for postgraduate degrees in Sustainable Architecture and Sustainability and Adaptation in the Built Environment, amongst other courses.

The talk starts at 7pm on Wednesday 15th May, in CAT’s WISE Sheppard Theatre. No need to book – if you have any queries please drop us a line.
