Over the next few months Lewin Appleton- Fox will be blogging for us from the Renewable Energy and the Built Environment course, here is his first post introducing himself.
I gained a BSc in Chemistry in 2010, and started studying at CAT in autumn 2012. I decided to move into renewable energy as I think it’s going to be one of the biggest issues we’ll have to deal with over my lifetime. I was attracted to the REBE course because it offers a good mixture of practical and theoretical elements, and it’s taught by people who actually work with renewables. CAT is also well-respected in the industry, which should help my employment prospects after graduation! Once I’ve got the degree I hope to use it to travel, ideally by designing and building renewable systems overseas.
