Dr Rosie Plummer

Rosie has a background in and particular enthusiasm for applied science. Before working for CAT, she gained extensive experience working in educational roles in academic and non-academic spheres and worked on an institutional level in wide-ranging strategic, research and governance roles.

Rosie has a background and particular enthusiasm for applied science. Her early career in biological research included collaborations with industry and commerce. Subsequently, she moved into Higher Education management, working in academic and non-academic spheres across the biological/physical sciences, at institutional level in wide-ranging strategic, governance, research, and operational roles.

Previously, she was Director of the National Botanic Garden of Wales for six years until March 2016. There, she had overall responsibility for leading that organisation’s strategic vision and direction as well as its operational and business/financial performance, and with a specific focus on the Garden’s charitable purpose.

Rosie is now occupied with a mix of consultancy and project work, non-executive director, trustee, and governance positions, including as Welsh Government appointed member of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.
