The trustees of CAT have decided not to pursue the proposed partnership between the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) and the University of Wales: Trinity St David (UW:TSD) any further, as we believe their proposals were no longer in the best interests of CAT.

With the cooperation of CAT’s key stakeholders, the trustees have resolved actively to explore alternative options to secure a viable and prosperous future for this innovative organisation.

The trustees remain convinced that CAT can continue to provide a unique contribution to the crucial process of identifying practical solutions to the serious challenges facing humanity, including climate change and global resource depletion.

Penderfynodd ymddiriedolwyr CAT derfynnu’r trafodaethau parthed partneriaeth rhwng Canolfan Y Dechnoleg Amgen (CAT) a Phrifysgol Cymru y Drindod Dewi Sant, gan y credwn nad yw eu cynigion bellach er lles CAT.

Gyda chydweithrediad rhanddeiliaid allweddol CAT mae’r ymddiriedolwyr yn benderfynol o archwilio opsiynau eraill er mwyn sicrhau dyfodol hyfyw a llewyrchus i’r sefydliad arloesol hwn.

Mae’r ymddiriedolwyr mor hyderus ag erioed y gall CAT barhau i gyfrannu’n unigryw i’r dasg hanfodol o ddod o hyd i atebion ymarferol i’r heriau sy’n wynebu’r ddynoliaeth, gan gynnwys newid hinsawdd a disbyddu adnoddau’r ddaear.
